Description
The Nike Air Force 1 Low Supreme Black is the blacked-out half of the pairing, and arguably the harder one to get hold of. A single flash of red on an otherwise entirely tonal shoe, it does more with less than almost anything else in the collaboration archive.
The upper is full-grain black leather, smooth and slightly tumbled, with the classic Air Force 1 panelling running underneath it. The Swoosh, laces, eyelets, collar lining and tongue are all finished in matching black, so the only break in the colour is the red and white Supreme box logo embroidered on the side panel. A silver metal lace deubré sits at the throat for contrast, and the pair ships with an extra set of co-branded laces plus a dual-branded sockliner.
The sole unit is pure Air Force 1. A black cupsole houses the encapsulated Nike Air unit in the heel for the cushioning this shoe has been built around since 1982, with the debossed AIR branding along the lateral midsole and the circular pivot-point tread pattern underfoot for grip.
Stealthy, sharp and endlessly wearable, this is the pair for anyone who wants their Supreme quiet until someone looks twice.
