Process

Our Verification Process

Every product is inspected before it is dispatched to a customer. If any item fails any stage of this process, it is set aside and returned to the supplier rather than sent to you.

Packaging Inspection
Original branded packaging, box labels, tissue paper, tags, and accessories checked for consistency with manufacturer standards.
Product Code Verification
SKU numbers, style codes, and barcodes cross-referenced against official brand references to confirm the product matches its listing.
Material & Build Quality
Stitching, material quality, colourways, sole construction, and overall finish physically inspected against known genuine examples.
Labelling & Tags
Size labels, country of manufacture, care instructions, and hang tags reviewed for accuracy and consistency with genuine production runs.
The Tag

How the Tag Works

Once a pair has passed inspection, we fit our security tag before it is boxed. It is the last thing to go on, and it is your physical proof that the pair you have received is the pair we checked.

What it is
A pull-tight plastic security seal, printed with The Sole Store on one face and the returns condition on the other.
When it goes on
At the final stage, after the pair has passed inspection and immediately before it is boxed for dispatch.
Why it matters
The seal locks closed and cannot be refitted once it has been cut. If it arrives intact, the pair has not been opened or swapped since we checked it.
Trying them on
The tag is fitted so you can still try the pair on indoors. Leave it attached until you are certain you are keeping them.
Returns
As printed on the tag itself, we cannot accept a return once the tag has been removed. See our returns policy for the full terms.
Guarantee

Our Guarantee to You

If you receive a product from The Sole Store that you believe to be inauthentic, contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will:

Arrange a free return at our expense
Conduct a thorough re-inspection of the product
Issue a full refund or replacement if the product is confirmed inauthentic
This guarantee is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
