Description
The Saucony ProGrid Omni 9 Grey Slime is peak early 2010s running shoe, and it makes no apology for it. Chrome, mesh and a shot of highlighter green, this is the sort of colourway the era did better than anyone has since.
The upper starts on breathable grey and charcoal open mesh, layered with metallic silver synthetic overlays that sweep through the midfoot in the Omni's signature curved lines. Royal blue runs along the eyestay and lower panels, navy wraps the padded collar and heel, and slime green cuts across the midfoot and collar trim as the accent that pulls the whole thing together. The Saucony triangle mark sits on the lateral side in chrome, with omni 9 branding picked out in green on the heel counter and a white toe cap keeping the front clean.
The sole unit is where it gets properly loud. A white ProGrid midsole houses the shock-absorbing cushioning the model was built around, with slime green rubber pods at the heel and blue rubber running through the forefoot for grip and durability.
